HLN heaters have successfully finished a high altitude test above 5,000 meters
[Sheridan, Wyoming, US] HLN has successfully completed an in-situ test of its air heaters and coolant heaters on the Tibetan Plateau, reaching an elevation of 5,235m and breaking the altitude record for diesel parking heaters.
The test was part of the requirement that heaters from HLN need to be able to operate normally in the comprehensive spectrum of conditions: from extreme temperatures (below -40°C) to high altitudes (above 5,000m high). For the high elevation tests, the company took five test points at 2,780m, 3,660m, 4,540m, 4,780m, and 5,235m. At all locations, HLN heaters can ignite and operate smoothly.
‘The normal quality control processes and requirements such as ISO/TS 16949 or European E-mark certificates are not enough for HLN heaters.’ Says Steven Zhao, CEO of the company, ‘When you work with the top players in the vehicle industry, you cannot just follow the norm.’
In addition to stringent lab tests - ranging from vibration test, electro-magmatic compatibility test, to shower test…etc., the company also undertakes in-situ cold region tests, high elevation tests, and other tests specifically for certain customers. From its production of the first air heater 40 years ago, the companys' pursuit of the highest standard has never changed and strives to achieve excellence to best serve our clients.
